- Hi!
-
- I purchased a telephone line sharing device called ComShare350 from Command
- Communications in the hopes of keeping my Power28.8 & MS Exchange on at all
- times to receive FAX from overseas. (Some people suggested distinctive ring
- from my telco would be best but I had to try this out ... I thought this will
- pay for itself whereas for distinctive ring services, I'll pay each month
- forever).
-
- Turns out that when I use the ComShare350 to route FAX calls that emits CNG
- tones, the Power doesn't answer (the modem is supposed to answer in 2 rings).
- BTW, Power answers when the line doesn't go through ComShare350.
-
- I called tech support for the ComShare350 & they said that I have to see if
- the Power answers "digital rings". Does it?
-
- I know that the ComShare350 is routing the call to it's FAX/MODEM port
- because the phone connected to the PHONE port in back of Power rings when
- the call is routed.
-
- TIA.
